Job Description:
Job Responsibilities:
- Interact with business stakeholders to gather data, reporting
and analytic requirements for financial data sets.
- Perform data analysis, data lineage, and profiling of data from
source system to data repositories and reports. Responsible for
data mapping to any "to-be" data structures.
- Create specifications for Reporting/Analytic requirements and
work with business users to elicit hidden requirements and clarify
vague requirements, as well as ensure sign offs on
requirements.
- Interact with technical teams and guide offshore development
resources to help translate requirements into solutions.
Responsible for providing functional and technical guidance to the
development team.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing of reports and data driven
solutions by working with the business users.
- Assist the Program Managers with tracking work program
deliverables using the appropriate SDLC methodologies including
agile scrum.
- Manage daily technical challenges and communicate to management
any risks or issues.
- Develop, manage, and maintain processes, procedures, and
documentation for handover to application support.SKILLS /
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience and master's degree
plus required industry certificates; or bachelor's degree and 10+
years of relevant experience.
- Strong analytical skills coupled with capabilities to
understand and interpret data.
- Experienced IT professional working on large data and reporting
applications as well as a strong understanding of Operational data
stores, Data Warehouses, and/or Data Marts.
- Strong understanding of accounting concepts, finance and
economic principles and working experience in general accounting
procedures and reconciliations.
- Broad experience of middle and back office functions of
financial organizations.
- Excellent skills in analyzing data, gathering requirements and
working with clients and technical teams to translate requirements
into solutions.
- Proficient in the use of PL/SQL and ability to read data
models, infer data flows and write complex queries.
- Hands-on experience with reporting tools (like Power BI, SAP
BO, Tableau) and ability to perform ad hoc analysis.
- Strong project management skills with a process orientation and
ability to leverage Agile concepts.
- Familiarity in using agile tools such as Azure DevOps.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and experience
interacting with both business and IT individuals.Manager
Notes:
- Looking for someone to work in the data space, but primary role
would be a data analyst.
- The ideal candidate should have experience working as part of a
team in an analyst role on projects involving the implementation of
data marts, data warehouses (DW), and operational data stores.
Prior experience in gathering and documenting data requirements is
essential.
- Need expertise in managing large datasets and working on
large-scale data and reporting applications.
- Must be able to look at data and understand it, not just taking
requirements, but understanding meaning and connecting the dots to
make recommendations.
- Financial space experience is essential, as the role involves
treasury data sets.
- Strong analytical/problem-solving skills are required.
- Capital markets/wealth management type background is
beneficial.
- SQL experience is necessary; familiarity with Oracle Exadata
and cloud platforms is a plus.
- Must be able to understand and write SQL queries.
- Experience in real data warehousing projects or data marts is
preferred.
