Phase 2 encompasses a greenhouse facility and a production barn. This is a state-of-the-art, controlled-environment greenhouse for the sustainable production of tropical indoor foliage plants of consistent and exceptional quality.

  • "Can Do" AttitudeJOB SUMMARYThe Facility Maintenance and Grounds Technician maintains our facility's functional and aesthetic condition. This position requires technical knowledge and manual labor to complete work orders and preventative maintenance tasks. The ideal person is organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently. This is a collaborative company where we all work together to achieve our goals. Sometimes, you may be asked to lend a hand outside of your primary responsibilities.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
    Building and Asset Maintenance
  • Following standard operating procedures, installs, inspects, repairs, and performs preventative maintenance on company equipment and mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, production line, and greenhouse assets.
  • Responds to emergency maintenance requests quickly and efficiently, keeping a positive attitude during high-stress situations.
  • Forklift, scissor lift, track loader, accessory operations, and maintenance.
  • Works with or assists trade contractors in completing large projects or complex repairs.Organization and Recordkeeping
    • Performs general organization of storage areas to ensure tools, supplies, and parts are readily available and meet inventory requirements.
    • Effectively organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks to meet established deadlines.
    • Logs time accurately to complete maintenance activities and materials used in CMMS.General Facility & Grounds Duties
      • Performs groundskeeper duties, such as grass mowing and trimming, weed spraying, snow shoveling, and salting, to keep a visually attractive environment for staff, employees, visitors, and the public.
      • Assists with assembly, adjusting, and moving company storage and office items.
      • Read technical information needed to perform maintenance or repairs.

        REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
        • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or manufacturing documents for assistance.
        • Ability to accurately understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
        • Analytical, detail-oriented, accurate, and proactive problem solver.
        • Must be able to bend, twist, turn, climb, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds frequently throughout the workday.
        • Able to work independently and under minimal supervision.
        • Recognize potentially dangerous situations and effectively communicate them to the supervisor.PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS:
          • Forklift certification, or ability to obtain certification within a reasonable time.
          • WPS handler certification is required to transport pesticides when needed.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
            • Driver's license required
            • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
            • Maintenance-related associate's degree or technical certificate is preferred.
            • 2+ years' experience in a similar role is required, with a specialty in one or more of the following disciplines: electrical, plumbing, boilers, network engineering, or mechanical.
            • Basic welding skills are preferred.
            • Proficient in Bobcat and zero-turn mower operation.
            • Bobcat and zero-turn maintenance experience preferred.
            • Ability to use a smartphone or tablet for work order management.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
